I am seeing this more and more in women's hair and it really annoys me! Ladies, if your hairline has already been severely damaged or if it's receeding prematurely, Please find out what is causing the problem before you elect to get your hair braided or weaved.
Keep in mind that the hair is thinnest around the hairline and cannot take alot of the tension from braiding or cornrows. Now I am by no means saying don't get your hair braided or cornrowed, but keep in mind that your hairline will pay the price for your negligence. Sometimes braiding can cause permanent hair loss.
I'm only writing this because more and more women come in with so much hair damage from excessive braiding and weaving that sometimes I want to tell them to just get a wig and forget about it! So ladies I beg of you! If you're suffering breakage around your hairline, please find out the exact cause before proceeding with braids and hairweaves!
